Toyota of Plano is a proud sponsor of a brighter future, and a brighter future starts with empowering the youngest members of our community. Toyota of Plano’s athletic sponsorship initiative allows us to give back to the community, by providing the resources to help more of our children safely participate in afterschool activities. Increased participation in extracurricular activities has been proven to boost high school graduation rates and improve overall student self-esteem, and our long term relationship with the Plano Independent School District has given our Toyota of Plano team a way to empower some of the most impressionable members of the greater Plano area.
To honor this long term relationship, Toyota of Plano recently installed the brand new high school display cases. These display cases hold Plano area high school memorabilia and reference a number of notable alumni from the Plano school district. By carefully crafting these displays, holding valuable tokens that reflect each school’s story, Toyota of Plano pays homage to core moments from our alumni and current students' high school experience.
The high school display offers Toyota of Plano visitors a chance to learn about significant moments in the history of many of the Plano Independent School District’s programs and notable alumni that were once a part of these extracurriculars. At Toyota of Plano, our team is proud to remember and acknowledge this unique history, which is held so dear by the community we are grateful to serve. While our team found it immensely important to honor our school district's rich history, we have also featured highlights from current high school athletic programs.
Items featured in Toyota of Plano’s display cases include everything from a Star Wars poster of K-2SO signed by Alan Tudyk, a Plano Senior High School Alumni and successful actor, to an original pamphlet from the 1967 Texas State Championship Football Game. You’ll also find objects like a baseball bat signed by the Creekview High School Mustangs 2022 Varsity Baseball team and a Planoette Drill Team Barbie, donated by a Plano Senior alumni.
When asked about the brand new high school installation, John Phelan, the General Manager at Toyota of Plano said “Toyota of Plano and Plano Independent School District have a long term relationship. We love to support our community and create a difference”.
Our Toyota of Plano team is so grateful to the community that has consistently supported our family owned and operated establishment for over 30 years and counting. We wouldn’t have been able to expand our business, to better serve the greater Plano area, without the respect and encouragement we’ve received from our neighbors. Next time you visit Toyota of Plano, take a moment to view our high school display, and enjoy the rich history of our wonderful community.
