The recent unprecedented snowstorm affected many people in the North Texas area. Millions of Texans were without power or water during chilling arctic weather conditions. Many people are still in the process of recovering and North Texas based Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) is part of that recovery.
Toyota, always a community leader, stepped up by spending $1 million dollars in relief effort.
During this time, Toyota has donated generously to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, in support of North Texas Cares and West Dallas nonprofits to quickly distribute funds to grassroots organizations. $450,00 was donated.
The North Texas Food Bank was given a huge donation of $100,000.
The Family Place and Genesis Women’s Shelter, were able to provide hotel rooms, food and transportation for their clients. Toyota donated $30,000 to this effort.
