
Plano’s annual Dickens’ in Downtown festival, and a few other Christmas celebrations, have been cancelled due to Covid-19, but don’t worry, we can still have fun this holiday season.

A fun idea for families in the Plano, Dallas, Frisco area is to go to see Christmas lights while driving. You might be surprised at the level of care and detail that your neighbors put into this.
Those who live in Plano are always familiar with the Deerfield Holiday Lights, located between Preston and Coit Road. There are several entrances to the Deerfield neighborhood. Most people enter from Legacy Drive, heading north on Colonnade or Archgate. Follow all signs, drive slowly and carefully. Make sure to take picture of the famous “Dancing Santas.” Please note: Do not exit your vehicle to take pictures, as it causes problems with traffic.
Other drive-thru Christmas lights are in Dallas-Fort Worth are available for families to enjoy. Radiance! A Holiday Light Spectacular is at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, as well as locations in Weatherford and Decatur. For a fee, you will drive through a fantastic and beautiful array of professionally arranged Christmas lights. Please note, they don’t allow limousines, RV’s, Busses, or any kind of vehicle towing a trailer.
