2016 Toyota Tacoma

Toyota's legacy of off-road adventures continues with the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma SR's bold front end and chiseled styling are ready to work, and it even comes standard with a GoPro^® mount that helps capture all the action when it's time to play hard!

On the styling front, the new 2016 Tacoma is most definitely a Toyota pickup. The clean, no-fuss design cribs the full-size Tundra's chunkier bulldog face, replete with LED running lamps and projector-beam headlamps. Both the tailgate and suspension deliver both increased wheel travel and a smoother ride. High-strength steel has also been mixed into the frame and body shell, in order to shave some pounds and increase overall rigidity.

The 2016 TRD Off-Road version is fitted with an electronically locking and limited-slip rear differential, 16-inch wheels, and hill-start assist. A new selectable-terrain system allows drivers to alter the throttle response, brake aggressiveness, and traction control, and the Tacoma now offers a crawl-control program that uses low-speed cruise control and hill-descent control to automatically handle acceleration and braking from 1 to 5 mph. Manual TRD Tacomas also come with Clutch Start Cancel, a button that overrides the clutch interlock when starting the engine. For off-roaders stalled on steep hills, it's a boon so their Tacoma doesn't roll off a particularly precarious perch.

The Tacoma SR5 is the fearless icon built to dominate, with an available all-new V6 engine, plus features like keyless entry, a colorful 4.2-in. information display and projector-beam headlights. The athletic Tacoma TRD Sport gets extra tech and style with Qi wireless charging, Smart Key System with Push Button Start, and an aggressive hood scoop. While the Tacoma Limited adds refinement to the ruggedness with embossed leather trim, a moonroof and a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
