The 2014 Toyota Tundra remains a capable workhorse among full-size pickups, and now benefits from a bolder look and improved interior. The new Tundra's exterior features an integrated hood and grille, and a larger front fascia that wasn't small to begin with. A higher hood, three-piece lower bumpers and squared-off wheel wells infuse the Tundra with slightly more menace.
The 2014 Toyota Tundra will offer standard and long beds, and three cab styles: regular, double cab and crew cab configurations. The Tundra will come in base SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum and a new 1794 trim level. Each gets its own unique grille treatment.
The SR gets standard Bluetooth connectivity, a rear view camera and the Display Audio system. The SR5 adds a chrome grille, fog lights, satellite radio and optional 18-inch wheels. The Limited gets chrome accents and 20-inch wheels, along with heated leather seats, a navigation system and Entune smart phone integration. A TRD OFF-Road package is available for the Limited and includes 18-inch wheels, dedicated off-road tires and performance springs and shocks.
The Platinum trim includes perforated black leather seats, chrome and brushed metallic trim, and a 12-speaker audio system.
The Tundra interior is revamped with a new dash design that brings audio and climate controls more than 2 inches closer to front occupants. The front seats offer additional travel and crew cab rear sears can now fold up for additional cargo room. Safety features include blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert on premium models.
